![]() ![]() ![]() From what I've heard, the site is decent. I was worried that it wouldn't be a diver focused place cause it has live music, alcohol and a bunch of other non dive things that I don't care about. I did a considerable amount of research on Iberostar but didn't end up going there. I'd stay at this resort (just for the shore diving) and dive somewhere else tbh. Also, there was a lot of manhandling of the wildlife going on there, which I detested. While I was trying to get their attention, an instabuddy shot up to the surface which was no bueno. Not a problem except they don't let you launch your own SMB if you wanna go up. The DMs often seem very bored and would stay far away from the group. I did not like the dive op: Due to high gas prices, they didn't go out too far down South. Loved the shore diving, some of the best shore diving I've seen in Cozumel. The food was very bland and "safe", but I think that is what was predictable and worked for most of the guests, so I can't complain - I just wasn't the target demographic. The resort was OK, the staff were super friendly. Caveat is that this experience is a bit out of date. The dive op was great, the DMs in the boat were super knowledgeable and super respectful. The food as others mentioned was mediocre. We have developed an “Experienced Diver Program” where divers are grouped on boats according to their own experience level allowing them to enjoy their dives in the company of other divers of similar experience level. For individuals, the maximum number of divers per boat is limited to twelve. Boat capacities vary and can accommodate between 8 – 26 divers, ideal for individuals as well as groups. The four larger boats, a 46′ Sea Ray, a 42′ Sea Ray, a 35′ Bruno Stillman and a 30′ Island Hopper, are also equipped with camera racks, heads, freshwater showers and water level dive platforms with ladders. We own and operate five boats all fully equipped with VHF radios, depth sounders, DAN oxygen units, first aid kits and life vests. Divers may be picked up by boat at hotel piers located to the south of town or board the boat in the marina. Night dives are available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Dive sites are decided upon by the divers on the boat and usually include one “wall” dive and one reef dive. We offer two tank boat dives trips with departures twice daily at 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Dive House is located in the Hotels Secrets Aura, Sunscape Sabor, Dreams Cape Cozumel, Fiesta Americana and The Explorean Cozumel. ![]()
